I’m sorry to say that the truth of what happened is far less exciting than what you all want to believe . There was a misinterpretation of the rules by the referee , leading to an unwarranted technical foul. So I challenged her decision by asking for the head ref to come out and make a ruling.. little did I know that would only lead to the head ref reluctantly siding with the discretion of the referee and ultimately a 2nd unwarranted technical foul and automatic forfeiture.
There was no “meltdown”, there was no “paddle throw” , there was no “profanity directed at any referee”. It was a very unfortunate judgment call by the referee.
