Indoor Active Brands Launches The Pickle Pad, a New Pickleball Entertainment Concept
Indoor Active Brands, the company behind Altitude Trampoline Parks, is venturing into the pickleball business with its latest concept, The Pickle Pad. The indoor pickleball playground will feature a full-service restaurant and bar, as well as over 20 gaming options in a designated social area on the second level. The first Pickle Pad location is set to open in Tallahassee, Florida, in the spring, with plans to open five to ten more locations by the end of 2024, focusing on the Southeast and Midwest regions.
Mike Rotondo, CEO of Indoor Active Brands, highlights the growing popularity of pickleball in the U.S. and the shortage of indoor courts, making The Pickle Pad an attractive option for players of all skill levels. The venue, with an estimated cost between $1.33 million and $1.99 million for a 25,000-square-foot space, will feature six indoor courts, a 2,000-square-foot restaurant and bar, and various interactive indoor yard games.
The Pickle Pad aims to be more than just a pickleball facility, offering a diverse range of activities, including private and group lessons, tournaments, and hosting company and family events. Membership packages starting at $50 per month will be available, and non-members can rent courts by the hour. The concept is designed to be a family-friendly space with a real food concept and entertainment options beyond pickleball.
The Pickle Pad joins a growing trend of pickleball franchises, such as Ace Pickleball Club, Pickleball Kingdom, The Picklr, and Dill Dinkers, reflecting the sport's increasing popularity.
