Hannah Blatt: A Rising Star in Canadian Pickleball
From junior squash dominance to a new passion in pickleball, Hannah Blatt is putting Canada on the map in her sport journey.
Introduction, 0:00 Hannah Blatt grew up playing squash in Winnipeg, reaching the top junior rankings in Canada. After a successful college squash career with championships and records at Drexel University, she played pro squash for a year before discovering a new spark in pickleball. Now pursuing the professional pickleball circuit in Florida, she’s ready to showcase her skills and help grow the sport in Canada.
Squash Career, 1:09 Starting squash at 12 as one of the only girls playing in Manitoba, Blatt competed against all ages. She made Team Canada junior teams, earned a full scholarship to Drexel, became team MVP her freshman year while setting the single-season wins record, and served as team captain junior year.

Blatt was recently drafted 4th overall into the new Canadian league by the Toronto United PC, with women picked as the first four draft selections. As someone passionate about representing Canada and growing pickleball nationwide, she’s motivated to showcase possibilities in the sport and pave the path for youth players. (Watch Matches)
Healthy Lifestyle, 5:45 Valuing fitness from a young age, Blatt prioritizes workouts, proper nutrition during the day, and always leaves room for some sweet treats at night. Her love of cooking drives her to explore local eateries everywhere she travels.
Pickleball Goals, 8:22 Blatt aims to continue improving while keeping her love for pickleball fun. She hopes to gain recognition, get drafted into the pro tours, and someday represent Canada internationally if the sport reaches the Olympics or Pan Am/Commonwealth Games.
